Dreamy pastels for a June elopement in Jasper National Park

Mya & Braden’s florals were from one of our smallest weddings last year, but one that has been living rent-free in my mind ever since, it was so dreamy.

Several months in advance, Mya booked a standard Elopement Package from our A La Carte offerings, which includes a bridal bouquet and a matching boutonniere.

It’s simple and easy breezy for the couple – all they have to do is send an inspo photo or two, and we take it from there to choose flower types and all the rest.

In this case, the original inspiration for Mya’s bouquet were all in whites and soft blushes. Well, only days later she reached out to tell us that she changed her mind, and decided that COLOUR is more aligned with her personality. Of course, I absolutely love any opportunity to incorporate colour and was thrilled to change direction!

June is a great month to get married because it lines up beautifully with growing seasons.

This allowed me to design a floral-heavy bouquet while staying in budget,

and it was nothing short of gorgeous, including fluffy peonies, stock, Quicksand roses, strawflower, larkspur and scabiosa. Its pretty pastels and texture are reminiscent of a spring garden.

The skies were a little smoky for M&B’s wedding day and Tyra (Tyra E Photography & Film) used that to her advantage, capturing images that are so dreamy, I had to include some here (even without the flowers in them). Mya is just stunningly frolicking through a meadow in her dress.

You’d never guess that this meadow is in the middle of the downtown core, just across the main street! That’s a huge benefit of hiring a photographer who is experienced in the area – they know some great places for a gorgeous photo moment.

Mya sent along a beautiful testimonial afterwards:

“Thank you so very much for the gorgeous wedding florals!! My bouquet was everything I hoped for and more, and felt that it perfectly completed my wedding day attire! You are truly an artist!!”

No matter how many weddings we design florals for, hearing from our couples afterwards is still the best feeling!
